Terms and Conditions
The agreement between you and us when you order coffee. We have kept it in plain English, because terms nobody can read protect nobody.
Last updated 7 October 2026
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are between you and Steep, a specialty coffee company based in Karachi, Pakistan. They cover this website and our online shop. By placing an order you accept them.
If anything here is unclear, ask us before you order rather than after - WhatsApp +92 370 5961921.
2. Placing an order
- Your order is an offer to buy. A contract forms when we confirm dispatch, not when you click the button.
- We may decline an order - if a coffee has sold out, if we cannot deliver to your area, if the address is incomplete, or if we have reason to think the order is not genuine. If you have already paid, we refund you in full.
- You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian ordering for you.
- Please give accurate details. Most delivery failures in Pakistan come down to an incomplete address or a phone that is switched off.
3. Prices and payment
- All prices are in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) and include any tax we are required to charge, unless the checkout says otherwise.
- Shipping is added at checkout and shown in full before you confirm. Nothing is added after you have agreed the total.
- Prices change with green coffee costs and the exchange rate. The price that applies is the one shown when you order.
- Obvious pricing errors. If a price is clearly wrong - a decimal in the wrong place, a 250g pouch listed at PKR 10 - we will contact you and either honour the correct price or cancel and refund. We will not silently charge you more than you agreed.
4. Cash on delivery
Where you choose cash on delivery, you are committing to pay for and accept the parcel. You may inspect the contents at the door. Repeatedly refusing COD parcels leaves us paying courier charges in both directions for coffee ground and packed specifically for you, and we may ask for advance payment on later orders from the same number or address. Full detail is in our Shipping Policy.
5. Coffee is an agricultural product
This matters more than it sounds, so please read it before ordering.
- Crops are seasonal. A coffee we list today may be unavailable in three months because that harvest has run out. We will not substitute a different origin without asking you.
- Batches vary. Two lots of the same origin, roasted the same way, will not taste identical. That variation is inherent to coffee, not a defect.
- Tasting notes are descriptive. When a bag says chocolate or citrus, we mean the flavours the coffee evokes. Nothing is added to our coffee. There are no flavourings, and the only ingredient is roasted coffee.
- Photographs are illustrative. Roast colour and bean size differ between batches and screens differ from each other.
- Freshness. Every pouch carries its roast date. We recommend eight weeks from that date, and two weeks once opened.
6. Grinding, and why ground coffee is a final sale
If you choose ground coffee we grind to the brew method you select and cannot reverse it. Ground coffee also goes stale considerably faster than whole bean. If you are unsure which grind you need, ask us first - we would much rather advise you than have you stuck with the wrong one.
Due to food safety and freshness standards, all sales of ground coffee are final and non-refundable. It is ground for your order, to your setting, and can be neither un-ground nor resold. You can cancel free of charge at any point before it is ground.
This applies to changing your mind. It does not touch what we owe you if something is wrong: ground coffee that arrives damaged, stale, wrong, missing or with a failed seal is replaced or refunded in full, exactly as whole bean is, and nothing here limits your rights under the consumer protection law of your province. Sealed whole bean can still be returned within 7 days on a change of mind. See our Returns Policy.
7. Caffeine and dietary information
Coffee contains caffeine. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, sensitive to caffeine, or managing a heart or blood pressure condition, take your doctor’s advice on how much is appropriate for you. Nothing on this site is health advice.
Our coffee is ground and packed in a facility that handles coffee only. We do not add dairy, nuts or gluten to any product, but we cannot certify the facility as free of every allergen. If you have a serious allergy, ask us before ordering and we will tell you honestly what we can and cannot guarantee.
8. Delivery and returns
Dispatch times, delivery estimates and courier terms are set out in our Shipping Policy. What we will replace or refund, and how refunds reach you on a cash order, are in our Returns Policy. Both form part of these terms.
9. Our content
The Steep name, logo, packaging design, photography and the words on this site belong to us. You are welcome to share our pages, post a photo of your brew and tag us. You may not use our branding to sell anything, imply we endorse you, or resell our coffee as your own brand without a written agreement with us.
10. Using this site properly
Please do not:
- attempt to break into, disrupt or overload the site;
- scrape it wholesale or copy it to build a competing shop;
- place orders under false details or someone else’s payment method;
- post abusive or unlawful content where we accept reviews or comments.
We may refuse service to anyone doing these things.
11. Where we stand on liability
We are responsible for the coffee we sell you: that it is what we described, properly stored, and safe to drink when handled as we say. If we get that wrong, our Returns Policy applies.
Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses - for example a delay caused by the courier, a strike, weather, or disruption outside our control. Our total liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it, including shipping.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. Things outside our control
We are not in breach of these terms for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control - courier disruption, strikes, protests, flooding, power or internet outages, import restrictions on green coffee, or government action. We will keep you informed and, where a delay becomes unreasonable, refund you.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. The date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts at Karachi have jurisdiction. Your rights under the consumer protection law of your own province are unaffected.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
15. Talking to us first
If something has gone wrong, please tell us before doing anything else. We are a small team and we would far rather fix it than have you write us off. WhatsApp +92 370 5961921, or see what is in stock on our shop.
